RUHAMA TYRELL VAN HORN

CLASS OF 1918

FEBRUARY 9, 1899 - APRIL 9, 1929

Ruhama Alice Tyrell was born at Fontana, Kansas February 9, 1899. She passed away at her home April 9, 1929. On December 18, 1921 she was married to James VanHorn of Osawatomie. To this union two children were born, Jack and Jimmie, aged 7 and 3 years respectively.

In 1916 she united with the Methodist church at Osawatomie and has since been a member. She graduated from the high school in her home town in 1918.

There remain to mourn her loss her husband and two children, her mother with whom she made her home since her marriage, one sister Mrs. Walter Smith of Hoisington and five brothers, Clint of Oregon, Bob, Russell, George and Ed, all of Osawatomie.

All who knew her, knew her to be above reproach, a good wife and daughter, friend and neighbor.
