SEPTEMBER 23, 1899 - JULY 30, 1994

Hazel B. Murdock, 94, Huntington, WV, a native of Fontana and former resident of Osawatomie, died Saturday, July 30, 1994 at St. Mary's Hospital in Huntington, WV.

She was born September 23, 1899, at Fontana, to William C. and Anna Gertrude Montague Arbogast. She grew up in Osawatomie and attended school there, graduating from Osawatomie High School in 1918. After graduating she attended Kansas State Teachers College at Emporia.

She was married to Clyde Price at Rosedale, Kan. on January 29, 1922. He died in 1931. She was married to Carl Murdock at Osawatomie on September 4, 1934. They moved to Huntington. He preceded her in death in June 1966.

Mrs. Murdock taught school at Osawatomie West Elementary School. After her first husband's death she went to work in a retail dress shop in Osawatomie.

She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Osawatomie.

Others preceding her in death were her parents, four brothers and two sisters.

A brother, Keith Arbogast, of LaHabra, Calif. survives.

Services were at 10 a.m. Friday at the Eddy-Birchard Funeral Home in Osawatomie. The Rev. Lee Wiersma officiated. Taped music of "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Beyond the Sunset" was played.

Burial was in the Osawatomie Cemetery. Pallbearers were David Arbogast, Bill Montague, Edwin Cook, Ray Dean Martin, Bill Wheeler and Russell Pope.

Memorials may be made to the church.
