CLASS OF 1917

Bedell- Funeral services for Mrs. Daisy Bedell of Osawatomie, who was fatally injured in a twocar accident May 30, were held Wednesday, June 1, at the First Methodist Church in Osawatomie with Rev. A Otis Beach officiating. Burial was in Oakwood cemetery under the direction of the Eddy-Funeral home.

Daisy Chambers, daughter of Jess G. and Estella McCullough Chambers, was born July 22, 1897 in Miami county. The family moved to Osawatomie in 1903 and she grew to womanhood there. She became a member of the Osawatomie Methodist church March 14, 1909.

May 1, 1923, she was married to Robert M. Bedell, who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Bedell had been a member of the Order of Eastern Star since 1918. She was also a member of the Engineer Ladies group, a charter member of the American Legion Auxiliary at Osawatomie and had served as president of the Osawatomie Business and Professional Women's club. Mrs. Bedell is survived by two daughters, one sister and one brother.
