RUBY MAHER McINTOSH

CLASS OF 1914 

DECEMBER 15, 1895 - MAY 28, 1959

Funeral services were held for Mrs. Ruby Maher McIntosh at the Methodist church, Osawatomie, May 31, 1959 at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. A. Otis Beach officiating. Burial was in the Osawatomie cemetery. Mrs. McIntosh died at her home May 28 at the age of 64.

The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James R. Maher, she was born December 15, 1895, in Marshall, Tex. and came to Osawatomie as a small child. She had lived the greater portion of her life there. She graduated from Osawatomie High School in 1914. She prepared for teaching at the Kansas State Teacher's college at Emporia and taught for several years before marrying Joseph E. McIntosh and living at Herington. They had one daughter, Judy, now Mrs. W. R. Fletcher of Pasadena, Calif. She was teaching Victory school when failing health made her retire last March.

She is survived by her husband, daughter, mother and two sisters, Mrs. Sylvia M. Bowers of the home and Ruth Maher of Kansas City, Kans.
