CLASS OF 1912

OCTOBER 7, 1892 – OCTOBER 3, 1928

Flossie Quillin was born October 7, 1892, near Wellsville, Kansas, and died Wednesday morning, October 3, 1928, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Slattery. She was 35 years, 11 months, and 26 days of age.

Her father died when she was 18 months old and since then she has made her home with her grandmother Cynthia Quillin who died April 15, 1928.

She attended high school in Osawatomie and lived with Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Slattery during that time. She was graduated in the class of 1912. She has worked for the past ten years for the Missouri Pacific offices here. Her health broke down and she had to leave their employ last February.

She lived a quiet life and was very faithful in her work. She always made friends with all whom she became acquainted with.

She leaves to mourn her death two uncles, Scott and Louis Quillin, and two aunts, Mrs. Carmin and Mrs. Wm. Slattery of Osawatomie.

Funeral services were held Friday, October 5, from the home of Mr. and Mrs. Slattery with Rev. Brown officiating. Interment was in Elmdale Cemetery.
