Osawatomie Graphic, October 18, 1951. Walter F. Allard, 56, of Ottawa, died suddenly of a heart attack at his home Tuesday [October 16] at 8:25 a.m. He was born March 10, 1895, at Osawatomie, moving from here to Ottawa seven years ago.

Allard, a watch repairman, was formerly with the Missouri Pacific railroad. He served in World War I with the Marine Corps and was overseas 11 months. He was a member of the V.F.W. and of the Osawatomie Methodist Church.

Survivors are the widow, Mrs. Grace Allard, of the home, and a brother, Dean C. Allard of Kansas City. Funeral services will be held at the Lamb Funeral Home Thursday at 2 p.m. Dr. Gordon B. Thompson will officiate. Interment will be in Highland Cemetery.
