Mrs. Frances Ann Beebe, 90, died November 9, 1974 at Pine Crest Haven in Paola where she had been a resident for the past 15 months.

She was born near Osawatomie on January 21, 1884, daughter of Charles and Emma Parker Whitney. She lived in Miami County most of her life except for a few years of her childhood which were spent in New York state.

Mrs. Beebe graduated with honors in 1905 from the Osawatomie High School and taught several years in the Osawatomie schools. She was a member of the Spring Ridge Presbyterian Church where she taught Sunday School classes for many years.

She was married on November 12, 1908 to John Beebe at Plum Creek Church in Miami County. One son, Virgil Whitney Beebe, was born to to them. Her parents, husband and one brother preceded her in death.

Surviving is the son, Virgil Beebe, of Paola' two granddaughters, Colene Watson of Tulsa, Okla., and Pat Schwartz of Overland Park; ten great-grandchildren and two brothers, Tom Whitney and Fred Whitney of Osawatomie.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Wilson & Son Chapel with the Rev. R. B. Shoemaker, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Paola, officiating. Pallbearers will be Orville Hood, Bill Player, Herschel Gunnels, Alfred Koup, Jerry Strausbaugh and Jim Pemberton. Burial will be in the Osawatomie Cemetery.
