ANGES LOFV VOSSLER

CLASS OF 1905

SEPTEMBER 16, 1886 - JULY 25, 1963

Mrs. Agnes Lofv Vossler, 76, of Osawatomie died at St. Joseph hospital, Kansas City, July 25, 1963, after being there six weeks for treatment of pernicious anemia.

Mrs. Vossler was born in Ottawa Sept 16, 1886, one of two children of August and Emily Lofv. Her brother, George, died in 1960. The Lofv family moved to Osawatomie when the daughter was ten years old and she had lived there since then. She graduated from Osawatomi High School in 1905. She was married in 1920 to G. F. Vossler, who died in 1955.

Mrs. Vossler was a member of the First Presbyterian church of Osawatomie and before her illness she had been a member of the Sunshine Girls and the Osawatomie Monday club. For 30 years she served as secretary of the Osawatomie Carnegie library board and on retirement was presented an honorary membership on the board. Her only immediate survivor is a daughter, Eleanor of Osawatomie.

Funeral services were held at the Eddy Funeral home Sunday afternoon at 2:30, Rev. Howard Johnson officiating. Mrs. Barbara Dever sang "In the Garden" and "The Old Rugged Cross." Rex Grow of Kansas City played the organ accompaniment. Pallbearers were Kenneth Johnson, Raymond Laird, Douglas Hagadorn, Joseph Whiteford, Howard Barnes and Ralph Waggoner. Burial was in the Osawatomie Cemetery.
