ETHEL BOISVERT

CLASS OF 1899

DECEMBER 28, 1883 - NOVEMBER 20, 1975

Miss Ethel Boisvert, 91, died November 20, 1975 at the Hillhaven Nursing Home in Topeka. She was born on December 28, 1883 in Spring Hill, the daughter of W. G. and Hannah Hesp Boisvert.

Miss Boisvert graduated from Osawatomie High School in 1899, attended Ursuline Academy in Paola and taught in the Topeka public school system for a number of years. She worked in the United States post office in Osawatomie for many years, serving part of the time as assistant postmaster.

She was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Osawatomie, of the P.E.O. and of the Business and Professional Women's Club.

A brother preceded her in death in 1949.

One nephew, two nieces and her sister-in-law are the only immediate survivors.

Services were conducted by the Rev. Alan Smith, pastor of the Presbyterian Church of Osawatomie, at the Eddy Chapel on Monday at 1:30. Mrs. Ida Trump, accompanied by Mrs. John Dollar at the organ, provided the music.

Burial was in the Elmdale Cemetery at Osawatomie with Ralph Whitla, Rollie Pierce, John Warren, Roy Carpenter, A. B. Durrant and John Dollar serving as pallbearers.
