ADA A. LONG JACKSON

OCTOBER 1, 1874 - MAY 12, 1937

Mrs. Ada A. Jackson was born on a farm near Rockville, Kansas, in the southeast part of Miami County, on October 1, 1874, and departed this life at the home of her sister, Miss Francis Long, Merriam, Kansas, May 12, 1937, being at the time of her death 62 years 7 months and 11 days of age. Her parents were Mr. and Mrs. Myron Long.

Mrs. Jackson attended high school here in Osawatomie, graduating with the class of 1894.

She was united in marriage to Harry A. Jackson on July 12, 1899. To this union two daughters were born, Mrs. John J. Churchill, Osawatomie, and Mrs. V. J. Zahner, of Kansas City, Mo.

Mrs. Jackson is survived by her two daughters, three grandsons, one granddaughter, three sisters, Mrs. E.C. Pace, Osawatomie, Miss Francis Long, Merriam, Kansas, and Mrs. Ida Lee, Osawatomie, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Jackson was well known here in Osawatomie, having spent the most of her life here and in the community near here. She spent a short time in Winslow, Arizona.

She was converted and united with the Baptist church while young and to the end of her life lived a consistent Christian.

Funeral services were held Friday, May 14, at the Baptist church, Osawatomie. The Rev. W. H. Briggs officiating. Interment was in Elmdale Cemetery.
